Power Outage

Amy pulled a scorpion off her leg.

Phoebe spat out some sand.

Chair stood.

All Kiwi's BG's stood. Except for Dawn.

Kevin scooped up Dawn. Even though he wasn't with powers, he was surprisingly strong.

Curly's BGs (that were still alive) stood, and started forward.

Seguei wiped sand out of her eyes, but since her hands were just as sandy just got more in her eyes.

Phoebe looked around cautiously. She would have said, "I think it's safe" but that would have jinxed them.

Scorpions littered the desert floor.

Amy yelped, as she stepped on a big one, and it stung her.

Cassie screamed and jumped onto Phoebe's head in fear.

Phoebe screamed, and jumped into Remmi's arms like this:

Dawn surprisingly was the only one not afraid. "Awww," she said as a particularly large scorpion climbed up Kevin towards Dawn, who it sensed weakness. She fearlessly picked it up, yet it seemed like it didn't want to sting her.

Seeing the incredulous stares, she blushed and said, "What? I had a pet scorpion once."

"The girl's afraid of horses and grasshoppers, yet fearless when it comes to poisenous scorpions," Kevin muttered. The scorpion, mad, stung his arm. "Ow!" he shouted, dropping Dawn.

Dawn fell, and landed on her leg. She screamed, and started crying.

The scorpions, mad at Kevin for dropping Dawn, attacked Kevin, while some stayed back to guard/protect Dawn.

"It's like she's a scorpion queen or sumthin," Jessica said.

Seguei also wasn't afraid. Bugs didn't scare her. She patted Fizzle lovingly.

Remmi gently, but quickly put Phoebe down. He could barely hold up himself.

Amy tried to step around them, but they were moving, and her feet were soon swolen and sore.

Tom panted, then fell. He lay in the sand for a few moments, before the scorpions swarmed him.

Pop giggled as one stung her toe. "His butt kissed me!" she said.

Nightmare did the same to L-Fang as Phoebe did to Remmi, L-Fang tossed her into a pile of scorpions.

Cole stepped on one, making guts squirt everywhere. "Gross!"

Then, in retaliation, all the scorpions attacked Cole.

One particularly large one stung Tom causing his whole leg to swell up.

Cole yelped, and kicked a few, killed a few more, but for everyone he sent flying, three more took its place.

The whole ground seemed to be covered with them. Remmi couldn't see a spot that didn't have at least one on it...

...and they seemed to be getting bigger.

Seguei stomped on one, and it stunger her foot. She lifted it up, and six scorpions to the spot where her foot once stood. There was no where to walk unless she walked ontop of the backs of the sea of scorpions. She tried to avoid stepping on the stingers, but it was no use. There were just to many to avoid them. Her feet were soon swollen and red.

Along with everyone elses feet.

Kevin swore, trying to hold up Dawn.

Phoebe tried jumping over a bunch, but, being short, she fell rather short. And then they swarmed over her.

They were now about three feet long each.

And their stings were starting to REALLY hurt.

Seguei feel to her knees. Her feet to soar to walk on anymore.

Remmi drew his sword and started stabbing scorpions.

Then, when they were about 5" tall, they were gone. All of them. Not a scorpion in sight.

They all looked around cautiosly. Suddenly, there was a faint buzzing sound.

"What's that?" Phoebe asked sitting up.

In the distance, it looked like a black cloud was swarming towards them.

Cole was the first to realize what they were. "Hornets!" he shouted. "Run!"

All the BGs ran in the opposite direction. Kevin threw Dawn over his shoulder potato-sack-style, with a grunt of pain from her.

Remmi tried to put up a sheild, then remembered, he couldn't. He ran as fast as he could, the hornets buzzed after them. They were gaining, and fast.
